The Creative Hand is a membership organization. In order to offer your work for sale, you must join our cooperative. Participating Membership, our programs for local artisans, offers the opportunity of being involved in all facets of the cooperative. You will participate as a member-owner of our retail store, including renting space, working in the store. We share suppliers, talents, etc.

Call for an appointment to learn more about membership and selling your handcrafted products. Day, evening, and weekend jurying times are available. Please call the store for information. 610-363-1677

THE JURYING PROCESS
To insure that our customers are provided with high quality handcrafted products, our Standards Committee reviews all product lines to be shown in the shop. All interested artisans must present a sampling of their works to be reviewed by the committee.

We suggest that the artisan bring five to six items of the best work in the categories in which he/she wish to be accepted. Categories include: POTTERY, CERAMICS, WEAVING, PRIMITIVE WOOD, DECORATIVE PAINTING, FLORAL DESIGN, SEWING, FOLK ART, SCULPTURE, ETC. All jurying is done by appointment. Day, evening, and weekend times are available. Please call the store for information. 610-363-1677

JURYING CRITERIA
Excellence of Craftsmanship:
The artisan’s work must show expertise and mastery beyond a novice level.
Originality of Design:
The artisan’s work must exhibit original creative expression. Patterns may be used but the finished product needs to show the crafter’s interpretation of the pattern.
Extent and Styling of Handwork:
The artisan’s work must show that it is done by hand and that the handwork is at a level of mastery beyond beginner.
Materials:
The artisan’s work must be constructed of good quality materials and materials appropriate for the piece.
Marketability:
The artisan’s work must be a product that will sell in our market area. The artisan also needs to be able to maintain a consistent production level. The product must be different than what is already carried in the store.

If product lines are accepted, membership will be offered.

For artisans outside of our local area, (25 mile radius): call for information about our Associate Member jurying. 610-363-1677
